We are often asked why we only stock the Kong tennis balls and not cheaper, non squeaky doggy tennis balls. We totally appreciate the importance of value but, above all, we want to keep our four legged customers happy and healthy. Regular use of normal tennis balls can cause damage to dogs teeth due to their abrasive/scouring nature. They can gradually file dogs teeth down as their furry fibers get clogged with dirt and grit (see the dentalvet.co.uk website for more information). The Kong balls are made from a non toxic, non abrasive material which will not gather so much dirt and will not file down the teeth like a normal tennis ball can. The very cheap doggy tennis balls often contain poor quality materials which can be dangerous if ingested and they tend to crumble when chewed. We hope you will understand our logic =)
