Gorgeous Gus is Looking for a Forever Home

Gus has been let down too many times for a dog his age and is now looking for a foster or forever home where someone will commit to him for life. He's only 18 months old but is currently in kennels as Staffordshire Rescue Scotland are struggling to find a home for him. As a younster Gus missed out on some key training and as result he comes across as ...a little boisterous when he's actually just anxious and needs guidance on how to behave. It will take him time to settle into a new home but SRS will offer full behaviour support to help Gus and his new family adjust and settle. We have no doubt that when Gus finds his new home he will absolutely blossom - he is incredibly clever and very quick to learn. He's equally motivated by treats, toys and praise. Gus is very athletic and would be ideally suited to an active home, we think he would make a wonderful agility or cani-cross companion as well. The ideal home for Gus:
**Someone who is at home for most of the day or who is able to take time to settle him into a new routine
**Pet free - Gus is untested with cats and while he gets on fine with other dogs we feel he would be better placed in a home where he can get all the attention
**Children over 8 - Gus has lived with small children but he is a big bouncy lad so would be better with older children
**Access to a secure exercise area - Preferably Gus would have access to his own garden but he will definitely need a space where he can be off lead securely.

We so hope that this post helps sparks some interest in this lovely lad. If you would like to know more Staffordshire Rescue Scotland would love to hear from you. Even sharing his details is a big help though. Gus is also featured on our adoption noticeboard in the shop and if you are involved in a local rescue and would like to highlight a long stay dog in your care please do get in touch
