Why hasn't Sam found his forever home?

Earlier this week we spent an afternoon at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home getting to know some of the fantastic doggies looking for homes and taking some goodies down for them to put to use.  Cheryl from Edinburgh Dog Photography very generously gave up her time to take some amazing shots which we hope will let people see just how much these fantastic dogs have to give.
First up is Sam who we are all totally smitten with.  He is just the most happy, bouncy, fun boy who has bags of energy and enthusiasm.  We cannot believe that he has been at EDCH for two years!!!  He is so lovely.  Maybe he has the curse of the Brindle Boy.  The RSPCA released stats that suggest that Brindle Dogs spend 50% longer waiting to be rehomed.  We just don't understand this as he has so much love to give and is a real gem of a Lad.

He is around 3/4 years old and very playful and loves others dogs and people. He would be happy to go to a home with another dog that would not be put off by his exuberant manner.
If you are looking for a dog that would delight in doggy sports Sam would be perfect as we think he would likely take brilliantly to agility, flyball (he is very fast) or Cani Cross.  He walks brilliantly if you have a squeaky toy in tow and he is very eager to learn so we don't imagine it would be too long before his basic manners would be tip top!
He had an absolute blast in the paddock and we spent ages playing with toys with  him (he LOVED supersnake and squeaky balls).  Cheryl had a task getting good shots as he was so fast :-)
We would so love to hear that Sam has found a forever home.  He absolutely deserves it and he is so lovely we just cant understand why he has been overlooked until now.  He would be a bit too bouncy for our own wee nervous boy otherwise we would have loved another addition to our household.
If you are interested in visiting Sam or finding out more about him or one of the many other lovely dogs at the centre please get in touch with the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home and if you don't have room for another doggy we would be ever so grateful if you could share Sam's details in the hope of helping him find his forever home soon!

Sam did a fantastic job of modelling our blue polka dot bandana and enjoyed playing with the durable JW I Squeak Ball :-)
Don't forget to also check our Cheryl's Edinburgh Dog Photograhy Facebook Page if you would be interested in getting some great action shots of your own dog :-)
