  • Shrove Tuesday doggy style...

Thanks to Kerry-anne for sharing this recipe for Shrove Tuesday =) "Pancake day for our pooches smile A delicious and easy to make pancake recipe using chickpea flour (gram flour) instead of wheat flour. For this recipe you flavour the recipe using whatever your dog likes ensuring this recipe is a winner with every dog! Our ingredients 1 mug of Chickpea flour... 1 egg Milk as required Mince (but you can flavour with anything your dog likes e.g. diced cooked liver, cheese, carrot, apple, pre-fried mince etc.) Pancake flavouring Add your flavouring. We’re using minced beef. Make sure afterwards that batter is similar to that of a fish coating batter! Cook as you would a normal pancake. That means hot pan! Once cooled slice into treat sizes! You can freeze them or place them in an airtight container and put in fridge."
& from Ellie : "Hi Just Dogs I just couldn't resist trying to recreate the photo of the Dalmatian with the pancake on its face.... Lots of doggy chocolate drops, a heap of patience (and the trusty clicker) and this was the end result!! Of course she got to eat the pancake afterwards"  Lucky Iona - the pancake reward looked delicious! <3

LOVE this from Dan "I asked Polly what she thought to Valentine's Day and this was her response!" =)

  • 5 reasons why dogs make the perfect valentines date...

Just a bit of Valentine's themed fun - We couldn't resist making a list of 5 reasons why dogs make the perfect Valentine's date:
    1. You don't need to slave over the stove to impress them with their meal and they will NEVER be late for dinner
    2. Your wardrobe wont matter - the comfier for a cuddle the better as far as your dog is concerned!
    3. Your dog is happy to just "snuggle" in bed =)
    4. Slobbery kisses from your dog are better than slobbery kisses on a first dat
    5. Since your dog can't talk there will be no awkward silences
We'd love to hear your other reasons why dogs make perfect Valentine's dates (and any Valentine themed photos of your dogs too of course) =)
Why not make a Valentine's date with your local rescue - there will be plenty of eligible pooches waiting to share their lives with you =)
