Thanks to everyone who helped us raise £1205.19 for Many Tears Rescue
29 December 2011
In 2011 our "Charity of the Year" was Many Tears Animal Rescue. We banked the fundraising from over the year to Many Tears today and we can confirm that we have raised a fantastic £1205.19 through collection box donations, our Pup Potrait Day (with thanks to Sophie Martin), our Photoshoot Day (with thanks to Shot To Stun Photography) , and of course from the sales of our Calendar (all 200 have been sold!). Stretch Fitness also kindly donated a percentage of their fee for personal fitness recommendations which came via a Just Dogs referral. We want to say a HUGE thank you for all your support and donations. We couldn't have done it without you! We are delighted with the amount raised and hope Many Tears will be too.
In 2012 we want to increase our fundraising efforts and plan to support a few charities. We have a fundraising target of £2,000. Ambitious, we know, but we hope that with a little hard work and support from our fantastic customers that we will be able to achieve this! We will update everyone shortly regarding the selection process for the charities for 2012 and with a diary of proposed fundraising events for the year. If you have any suggestions or ideas these would, of course, be warmly welcomed for consideration.
Our 2012 Calendars in which all the dogs featured were entered by our fantastic customers. 200 were sold (thank you!) and all the profits went to Many Tears. A total of £680 was raised from the sale of the Calendars.
Sophie Martin visited the shop in December and a total of 19 dogs were included in her Portraits (including our dogs Daisy and Sam as pictured above alongside a couple of the other "models").
Scott and Carol from Shot to Stun Photography did a fantastic job managing to do 16 shoots in one day and getting some amazing photos in the process including this one of Sweep above.
