Doggy Photoshoot at Just Dogs (in Aid of Many Tears Rescue)

We are delighted to announce that we are hosting a doggy photoshoot at Just Dogs on Sunday 20th Nov.ember  Shot to Stun photography have very kindly offered to help us raise more funds Many Tears Rescue.  To book your "studio" time please e-mail us at info@justdogsshop.co.uk and we can advise of the slots still available.  The photoshoot will run from 1000 to 1600 with 20 minute slots per dog.  Please view our full FAQs below for further information and prices.  Shot to Stun have generously agreed to donate £10 from every portrait to Many Tears and we hope this will help us reach our £1,500 fundraising target this year for the Rescue! (Just Dogs is not taking any profit from this event).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

What will a "studio" session cost?

We're offering one A4 print for £35 in an A3 mount. If you'd rather have an A3 print in an A2 mount instead, we can supply that for only an extra £5. From each session, we'll give Many Tears Rescue a £10 donation. 

If you would like electronic copies of any of the images from the day this will cost £5 for these and these can be e-mailed or popped onto a Disc for you (this money will also be donated to Many Tears). 

What if I have more than one dog?

If you have more than one dog and would like them to feature in the same photo this will cost an extra £5 per dog (i.e. £40 for a print featuring two dogs, £45 for a print featuring 3 dogs etc). 

Please be aware that  we'll try our best to photograph them together for you if you'd like, but we might have to "fake" a group shot given the time restraints. Patience we have in abundance, time we don't.  

If you want separate prints of each of your dog's we will have to do this as two separate sessions to allow each dog to acclimatise to the "studio" setting.  This means they will have their own 20 minute slot and  this will be £35 per dog.

How do we book our session?

We will be keeping a booking form for all the slots we have available.  Payment will need to be taken in advance (if you cannot make it for some reason you will get your money back if we have time to fill your slot but if not we will only be able to refund 50% of the cost).  You can call or drop into the shop to make payment.  Your booking will not be confirmed until payment has been made. 

How long will we have in the "studio"? 

Each portrait session will be 20 minutes long, and so are much shorter than a full studio session, which makes it more difficult to allow your dog to get to know us and be happy with the background/flashes and camera. As our main concern is keeping your dogs calm and safe, this means there will be a lot fewer different poses/angles/options to choose from.  (unless of course your dog is a born-natural Supawmodel)

At the end of each session we'll take 5 minutes to quickly go through the photos on screen, where you'll be able to choose which one you'd like as your print. But please remember that we might be running a little late and may need to just show you on the camera screen if time is tight. 

Where is the "studio"?

A mini studio will be created in the back shop of Just Dogs for the day.  There will be a background screen and lighting and we will be working in a tight space so if your dog is nervous in strange situations we would recommend that you may wish to consider a home photo shoot instead to ensure that your dog is relaxed and to help you get more successful shots. 

Any tips before coming to the "studio"? 

Sometimes, if you take your pup for a walk beforehand, they relax more if they've had a good walk/run around, but not always ideal for keeping their furdoo immaculate for
their 'closeup'. You know your dog best, so please let us know in advance if something helps calm them or they have a particular toy/treat/thing that they like or play with, or even if there's a trick they do especially well.  Please let us know if there are any treats that cause your dog dietary problems, etc so we don't offer a treat when we shouldn't!  

When will we get our print back?

All prints will be available to collect from Just Dogs Shop around 3 weeks after the photoshoot day. 

All retouching for your final print is included, don't worry if backgrounds/leads/hands are in the way, we can show you examples of the miracles we can wave with photo wands.
