Why not visit Just Dogs at Dogs Allowed in Lauder

10 June 2009

he Dogs Allowed weekend is two days of fun and entertainment  for dog owners, enthusiasts and people and dogs of all ages - with a focus on participation!  Dogs Allowed is being held from 1000 - 1600 on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 2009.

Now in it's second year the event will take place in the historic grounds of Thirlestane Castle in Lauder in the Scottish Borders and will make a great fun day out for anybody with dogs or who has an interest in dogs.

There is duck herding, dog sledding, and dog grooming demonstrations.  There will also be lots of doggy related stands and events allowing you to participate with your dog including: dog most like owner competition and waggiest tail competition.  There is also a jog-with-your-dog event.

Dogs Allowed just ask that  guests follow these three rules:

1. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times
2. Dogs must be dog and human friendly
3. You must scoop your dog's poop (bags and bins provided)

Refreshments will be available in the Thirlestane Castle Tearooms, from the Hog Roast Stand, from the  mobile hot food bar, the beer tent and the Cappucinno bar.

This year, Just Dogs have decided to be in attendance so don't forget to pop by our stand to say Hi if you do decide to come along.

For more information please visit the Dogs Allowed website .

If you do attend or attended last year we would love to receive your comments and feedback.
