What's in your basket
You don't have anything in your basket!
We have tried to be as helpful and honest as possible with these Recommendations and will update them as regularly as possible. If you have any further suggestions or feedback regarding those featured we would love to hear from you! Don't forget to also check out our "HANDY RESOURCES" page for information on great websites and suggested books to read.
Dog Walkers/sitters
We are very often asked by our customers for recommendations for dog walkers/sitters in the Edinburgh area. We have pulled this list together based on dog walkers we have developed relationships with and who share our ethos of positive reinforcement and sensible socialization and controlled numbers of dogs being walked. Some of those on the list are also ones that are regularly recommended by customers of ours (we may not have actually met these dog walkers and we will mention this). Whilst these contacts are recommended we cannot accept responsibility for the content of their sites and we recommend you do your own research too to ensure that whoever you choose is right for you.
Please be aware that most dog walkers sitters will only accept neutered dogs.
Also be aware that the best dog walkers/sitters book up far in advance for dog sitting over the busy holiday period so make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment
If you think we have forgotten someone we shouldn't have please let us know as sometimes our brains just can't absorb all the recommendations we should!

As with our dog walker recommendations some of these trainers are ones we know of personally and others are those that come highly recommended and we would encourage you to do your own research to ensure the trainers and their techniques are right for you and your dog.

Train Your Dogs with Heather Smith! I am a huge fan of Heather and this is a personal recommendation. Although most of her classes and workshops are on the West side of Scotland they are well worth the journey! Heathers classes are kept small so you get lots of support and for people who have more reactive dogs (as I do) it makes it a less stressful environment. If you are interested in trying Doggy Dancing you couldn't get a better teacher than Heather, she is a top Judge and Competitor on the circuit including Crufts. Heather also does 1-2-1 sessions. |
|
Mark Walker Dog Training (Canine Solutions) is another personal recommendation from Just Dogs. Mark and his Wife Mandy used to walk our dogs Daisy and Sam and they are true dog lovers and our dogs adore them. Mark has continued to pursue his qualifications in dog training and is now a very reputable dog trainer who has helped out a number of our customers using positive training methods. |

Doggy Friendly Places/Accommodation
Another request we often get is where are the doggy friendly places around the Stockbridge area. Don't forget to check out the fantastic DugsnPubs website which is full of fab suggestions for doggy friendly places.
