One of the Tasty Bone range won first place in the Boutique Product Category at Global Pet Expo 2012 (the Pet Industrys largest Annual Trade Show). This is high praise indeed so at Just Dogs we decided to start stocking these as an alternative to the Nylabone range.

The T-Bone Steak Flavoured Knot Bone is suitable for small to large dogs (but probably too big for toy breeds and too small for giant breeds) - anything in between could manage this one. These bones are different to Nylabones as they are infused with their flavouring through the entire bone rather than just on the surface as nylabones. This makes them even more tasty. The bones are annealed after moulding, resulting in a therapeutic chew device which is strong, safe and very durable. The bristle-like projections that are raised on the surface of the bone as it is chewed massage the surface of the teeth and gums and help to prevent plaque from forming.

We had been stocking these in the store for a few months before selling them via our online store and they have been very popular and getting good feedback from our customers.

Like every toy these are more popular for some dogs than others. For those dogs that really like to chew they make a good, stimulating toy which can help to clean teeth and keep your dog occupied for good periods and they are safe enough to leave your dog with.

At Just Dogs we pride ourselves on offering unbiased/honest and helpful info so please do take the time to read all of our information before judging which type of toy is right for your dog.

If your dog is not a power chewer they may not find this sort of toy gratifying enough. We also like to remind people that whilst these products are often recommended by Vets some dental vets do like to warn of the rare occurence of teeth chipping because of extreme power chewers going at the toys too rigourously.

Our dog Daisy is great fan of these sort of toys (see attached photo)

Safety Note
Chew products can be used safely and are an important component of a pet's dental care. Chew products also satisfy a dog's natural inclination for gnawing and chewing. When selecting a chew product for your pet, know your pet's chewing habits and make sure the product is the appropriate size and made of an appropriate material or ingredient. For example, a large dog that has a tendency to chew and swallow large pieces should only be offered a large bone with medium to hard density that is digestible. Likewise, a small dog or puppy should also be offered size appropriate chews that are of a softer material.

Pet owners should always observe their pets when offered a new chew for the first time. If the pet is able to chew off and swallow large pieces, that chew is not appropriate for that pet. Pet owners should monitor what and how their pets chew--regardless of the type or brand of chew or toy. It is possible for a pet to choke on anything that is swallowed whole. excerpt taken from the Chew Wisely guidelinesSM
