Essential Guides from one of the Worlds Top Trainers - and they are free!

We always recommend referring to Dr Ian Dubars guides "Before You Get Your Puppy" and his second free guide "After You Get Your Puppy".  These are great invaluable resources.  These guides cover all the essentials with everything from socialisation, chew toy training, house training, bite inhibition and more.

We have decided to get a puppy.  How can we be sure that we are buying from a reputable breeder?

If you have decided to get a Pedigree Puppy please do take your time doing your research.  There are too many puppy farms and unscrupulous breeders operating in the Uk and often they can be very sophisticated and to the inexperienced dog owner they can seem very convincing when actually they are not looking after the dogs and puppies properly.  Puppies from these types of breeders can often go on to have genetic health problems which can be heartbreaking and expensive to treat.

There are a number of sources you can refer to for help in establishing which breeders are the more reputable ones.

The SafePets Ethical Breeding website is a great new resource designed to put an end to Puppy Farming in the UK.  Devised by Debbie Connolly witha group of volunteers, it is designed to be the ultimate guide to the UKs most reputable and responsible Breeders.
