What are your shipping costs?
Our shipping costs are extremely competitive. We charge £3.99 for delivery for all items including big items like beds and 15kg bags of food. If you are in doubt please contact us at info@justdogsshop.co.uk or 0131 332 0899. We ship to anywhere in mainland UK and also to the Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland. Please note we do not currently ship to the US or other International Countries, although feel free to contact us if you are interested in a particular product - we will try to help where we can i.e. we can usually send smaller items like collars etc via normal airmail and they normally take about 1 - 2 weeks to arrive.
What happens if my item is damaged on delivery?
We will obviously ensure that you get a full refund (including the £3.99 postage charge that was applied). Please see our returns and refund section under our terms and conditions for full details.
Can I exchange an item?
Items can be exchanged, however please note that an additional £3.99 delivery charge will applicable (unless we sent the wrong item or the item was faulty, in this case we would pay for the delivery charge). Contact us at info@justdogsshop.co.uk or call 0131 332 0899 for further details. If you are returning an item that is not suitable we will refund you for the item in full (as long as it is received in the condition it was sent) but you will not receive a refund on the delivery charge (unless you are returning an item sent in error or that is faulty).
Please be aware that if you are returning an item to us we cannot be held responsible should the item go missing before it reaches us so we would recommend that you get proof of delivery.
How long will I have to wait for my order to arrive?
We aim to dispatch orders within 2 working days of placing the order. (We only dispatch and deliver Tues - Sat), so if you have ordered from Friday night to Sunday you will not receive your goods until the following Tuesday at the earliest. If you order Tues, Wed ot Thurs we aim to get your goods to you within 2 working days). You should allow up to 7 working days for your goods to arrive.
If there is any problem or delay we will contact you within 2 working days of the order being placed.
Most orders are shipped by a national courier network (Fedex ANC) or Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and are insured against loss or damage until signed for by you. It is important to inspect the items for damage before you sign for delivery. We aim to have your goods to you within 2 - 3 working days but Please allow up 7 working days for delivery. Our couriers will attempt 2 deliveries - after this, the package(s) will be returned to our warehouse and you will be credited for the cost of the goods but NOT the shipping charges. If an item is out of stock or there are any problems with delivery we will contact you within 2 working days of you placing your order and seek advice on whether you are happy to wait for the product to be delivered or whether you would wish to have a refund.
Please note that some of our items are made to order and may take longer to reach you. If this is the case the delivery timescales will be included in the product description.
I would prefer to place my order over the phone. Can I do this?
This is no problem at all. Please call 0131 332 0899 between 1000 - 1700, Tuesday to Saturday (except Thurs when we are open 1100 to 1800) and we would be delighted to take details of your order. If we are unable to take your call you can leave a message and we will endeavour to call you back the same working day.
Do you have a shop that I can visit?
Just Dogs has a shop in Stockbridge in Edinburgh and we would be delighted to see you and your dog! The shop is based at 14 Deanhaugh Street, Stockbridge, Edinburgh, EH4 1LY and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 1000 to 1700 (except Thurs when we are open 1100 to 1800).
OTHER HANDY INFORMATION
Just Dogs tries to operate an environmentally friendly business. All the excess cardboard packaging for our dog supplies is recycled and we also try to re-use packaging when posting out goods to customers - so if you receive a box or envelope that has already been used we hope that you don't mind!
Just Dogs actively supports animal welfare and we support a number of animal charities. We support the Dogs Trust and the Scottish SPCA by selling some of their branded goods (in our Edinburgh shop) and we also have collection boxes for the charities. Where possible we do try to support other animal charities and we do often supply prizes for raffles/auctions etc.
