Recommended Reading - A Friend like Henry

I have just finished reading a fantastic book "A Friend Like Henry".  The book ,written by Nuala Gardner, tells the true story of Nuala and her family's life following the birth of her Son, Dale who is autistic. The book tells how Dale and his family's life is changed when Henry, a Golden Retriever, becomes part of the family.  The bond between Dale and Henry brings some huge breakthroughs in terms of Dales autism.

I loved this book.  Not just for dog lovers, it is inspirational and heartrending.  It really illustrates the power of the silent love, intelligence and affection that dogs can bring.

Definitely on our recommended reading list!
